Background of the Study

In Kaduna, Kaduna State, art students are increasingly exposed to digital tools that expand traditional techniques and introduce innovative methods of expression. An AI-powered digital painting system leverages artificial intelligence to assist in the creation, editing, and enhancement of artwork. This system is designed to offer real-time suggestions, simulate various painting techniques, and provide instant feedback, thereby enabling students to experiment with different styles and refine their skills (Umar, 2023). The integration of AI in digital painting not only democratizes art creation but also fosters a deeper understanding of artistic principles by analyzing composition, color balance, and technique. Statement of the Problem

Significance of the Study
This study is significant as it explores the convergence of art and technology, offering innovative solutions for art education in Kaduna. By implementing an AI-powered digital painting system, the research aims to enhance creativity, technical skill, and collaborative learning among art students. The findings will provide valuable insights for educators and policymakers in integrating advanced digital tools into art curricula, fostering a modern, adaptive, and interactive learning environment (Okeke, 2024).

The study is limited to the development and evaluation of an AI-powered digital painting system for art students in Kaduna, Kaduna State. It focuses solely on digital art education and is subject to the availability of requisite technological resources.
